Summer shouldn’t be a season of financial worry.

Research by @The Children’s Society found that 6 in 10 parents worry about the cost of food during the school holidays, while 77% worry about childcare costs. Among those struggling with holiday costs, almost a third had dipped into savings and almost a quarter had borrowed money to help make ends meet.

These figures highlight the financial pressures many families face during the summer holidays.
